Mimic Egg Heist is a Roblox game about stealing eggs from sleeping guardians, running them home and hatching the pets inside. Some of those eggs are not eggs at all. This guide covers everything you need for your first hour.
The loop in one sentence
Grab an egg in one of the wild areas, outrun the guardian back to your plot, put the egg in your incubator, and let the pet that hatches earn cash for you while you go out for the next one.
1. Steal an egg
Eggs sit in nests out in the wild areas, and every nest has a guardian sleeping next to it. In a nest every egg looks the same. You only find out what you grabbed (its rarity and any mutation) once it is in your hands, and you cannot put it down again: you run it home, or you get caught.
That second part matters. Do not grab an egg unless you are ready to run.
2. Run it home
There are 15 wild areas, from the Forest to the Rainbow, and every one of them is open from the start. The sign at each area tells you the speed you need to outrun its guardian. Train on the treadmill on your plot to get faster, and upgrade the treadmill when you can.
A good rule for your first session: stay in the Forest and the Lake until you can comfortably beat their guardians, then move one area at a time.
3. Hatch it
Back home the egg goes on your incubator, which has room for three eggs. Each egg counts down before it hatches, and rarer eggs take longer: a Common egg hatches in 5 seconds, a Divine egg takes 10 minutes.
The pet that hatches moves into your pen and earns cash while you play. You start with three pen slots and can unlock more as you go, up to 15.
How much a pet earns
Four things decide a pet's income:
- The animal. Each area has three animals of its own, and each area's animals are worth about six times as much as the area before.
- The rarity. From Common (x1) all the way up to Divine (x500).
- The weight. Every pet has a weight in kg, and heavier pets earn more.
- The mutation. A Gold, Diamond or Rainbow pet earns 2, 4 or 10 times as much.

Watch out for Mimics
From the Lake onwards, some eggs in the nests are Mimics. They look exactly like the rest until they open their eyes for a split second. Grab one and it bites: you get knocked back, slowed for a moment, and your streak resets. Read how to spot a Mimic egg before you go past the Forest.
Free stuff worth knowing about
- Daily quests. Three a day, like "Steal 5 eggs" or "Bring 3 home in a row".
- The lucky wheel. One free spin every 10 minutes, and it waits for you if you are away.
- Daily streak. Come back every day and your daily reward grows, up to x8 on day 7. Every seventh day in a row also gives you a Gold Legendary Canopy Frog.
- Golden Rush every 30 minutes, and a Saturday Rush with double cash every Saturday from 15:00 to 19:00 UTC.
- Like goals. Every time the game reaches a like goal, a code unlocks for everyone.
Five tips for your first hour
- Train before you travel. Speed is what keeps you alive.
- Keep your incubator full. An empty incubator is income you are not making.
- Watch a nest for a few seconds before you grab anything past the Forest.
- Bring eggs home in a row for the streak quests, so do not get greedy in an area you cannot outrun yet.
- Spin the wheel every time it is ready.
