Mimic Egg Heist has 15 wild areas. Each has its own guardian, its own eggs and three animals of its own. That makes 45 animals for the Index, plus one more you can only get from the Queen's Egg.

How the animals roll
- The third animal is the prize. An area's own three animals come out in a 6 : 3 : 1 ratio, so the last one in each row above (the Moss Fox, the Lily Turtle, the Dune Camel and so on) is its rarest signature animal.
- Eggs can surprise you. An egg can also hatch an animal from an earlier area, but about 60% of hatches are the area's own animals. The further back an area is, the less likely its animals become.
- Further out is worth more. Each area's animals are worth about six times as much as the ones from the area before it.
The one that is not on the list
Aurum, the Golden Mimic does not hatch from any area. The only way to get Aurum is to steal the Queen's Egg from the Mimic Queen. Here is how to do that.
Getting further
Every area is open from the start, but its guardian decides whether you make it out. The sign at each area shows the speed you need to outrun it, so train on your treadmill before moving on. From the Lake onwards, watch out for Mimic eggs.
